No name changes!

So, I guess they're going to go through with it. The National Institute of Appellations (INAO) has decided, along with the Cinq Côtes Association has decided to combine the names of the 5 Côtes of Bordeaux into one simpler appellation name: Côtes de Bordeaux. The 5 sub-appellations are - Côtes de Bourg, Côtes de Blaye, Côtes de Castillon, Côtes de Franc and Premiere Côtes de Bordeaux .

This is a terrible dumbing down of a perfectly fine system, so blockheaded idiot American neophytes have an easier time buying wine. WTF? This is absolute nonsense, and shame on the French for selling out. As if Parker wasn't enough, the Bordelais are now whoring themselves out to the general public as well. Shame on you.

Now, my beloved Côtes de Castillon will be called Castillion: Côtes de Bordeaux. This is an outrage! The beauty and mystic of this region has been ruined. What sacrilege!
