I love portraits, and it's the skill I want to learn the most. There's something so dynamic and so dramatic about catching people in action - every photo tells a story, and that's what I want to achieve. I don't enjoy photography that's too artistic - it's just so contrived. There's no spontaneity, no excitement in something that's so carefully constructed. In any case, here are a few photos I took at dinner. Still playing around with getting the lighting right - I don't know why the photos pick up so much red. But, relatively speaking, I'm pleased with the results. At least they're in focus. I havn't edited them in any way - not even cropping.
