Our second wine. A wine of Piedmont, north Italy. Dogliani is one of 7 regions in Piedmont that make wines using 100% dolcetto. A more reasonable alternative to Barolo. A very young wine, so I was unsure of the quality - also, I'm a bit leery of Italian wines under $35.
Good surprise. Nice deep colour, jammy fruit, but retains a balance and stiffness that's very appealing. Good introduction to dolcetto. Nice. Beautiful, married with turkey.
