We saw this woman painting the peonies at the foot of LiuHeTa. Very deliberate. I like how she waited until she was sure that people were watching, before applying each brush stroke. At least she wasn't trying to sell any of it. But I shouldn't be making fun of her, not when I'm beginning to practice my calligraphy again. It takes some bravery to show off your art in front of people.
