Niagara for lunch, one last time

Untitled
It's tough saying goodbye. To friends and loved ones, to home. So the last week I was in Toronto, we decided to go out to Niagara for the day and enjoy the weather. For my last lunch here in a long, long time, where else but Treadwell Farm to Table Cuisine, newly relocated to Niagara-on-the-Lake. On the patio, sun shining - perfect. We ate, drank, and chatted, starting with a local take on insalata caprese salad - look at those basil chips.

We moved onto Lake Huron whitefish 'fish and chips' ...

The wine was good too. The 2011 Megalomaniac Bubblehead Rosé sparkling wine was simply brilliant. Pure and radiant, with lots of energy and structure. A gorgeous wine harmonizing perfectly with the food and atmosphere. We left lunch full and satisfied - a very happy man that day.
